For several years now, the experimental artist Freeka Tet has stood out in both visual art networks and in advertising media, as well as in digital arts festivals for his visceral and intense style. This combines a wide range of objects and analogous techniques within installations and performance pieces inspired by the vortex of the internet. Tet’s mastery of hardware development and design of interactive systems is expressed with equal force in projects commissioned by artists like Chromeo and Jackson and His Computer Band. In their own explorations of audiovisual art, which are mainly multidisciplinary performances, in which improvisations rely on sensors, DIY software, face-tracking technology and clicks&cuts extracted from the internet to mold a frenetic, disconcerting experience.
