Push 1 stop is already an icon of the advanced audiovisuals so characteristic of the Montreal scene, and the network of MUTEK festivals. The projects, which stem from live coding, generative art, and 3D motion design, have found their platform of maximum expression in the festivals’ large format and immersive experience. In collaboration with sound artists and electronics producers, Push 1 stop has created impressive works that continue to amaze audiences while generating new standards for their respective disciplines. Last year, in collaboration with producer Woulg, Push 1 stop presented Interpolate in the Digital Dome, one of the highlights in the history of MUTEK.MX.
This year Push 1 stop has worked closely with Wiklow, an IDM, glitch-techno, and ambient music producer, to generate Membrane. Algorithmic Performance for Transparent Materials, a work that combines installation with live performance to unset our very notions of illusion and perception.
