Austrian Patrik Lechner began making music when he was 16 years old, and he soon discovered surroundings like Pure Data and Max/MSP. Since then, he’s developed multiple tools for his own experimental music and it wasn’t long until he was also creating the 3D visuals for his material. Since 2012, he’s been working for the University of Applied Science St. Pölten; and he is writing a book about Max/MSP and TouchDesigner. Among his projects, Lechner has created an astounding installation at the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden for the Institute for Creative/Media/Technologies, and an interactive audio-installation in Dubai. Apart from performing many times at the Shanghai World Fair, he’s performed in Austria, Italy, Germany, and Canada. He usually works with classical musicians and collaborates with artists and painters alike.
